It's not so much the draftiness issue for me, but I don't understand why you would want to be cold when there are all sorts of wonderful socks/slippers/sweaters/sweatshirts/hats/mittens etc. to wear and be cozy in. I've noticed a complete lack of proper cold weather gear among the majority of my friends and coworkers. And everyone always seems surprised I am not complaining about the weather when its cold or snowy. Probably because I am wearing long underwear, a shirt, a sweater, and pants. Not to mention my down jacket, hat, double layer mittens, super fuzzy scarf, and thinsulate lined boots. I might look funny, but darn it all, I'm warm and thats all that matters. And I totally agree on the blanket & couch issue. We have an enormous pink blanket on our couch because I refuse to sit on the sofa and not be snuggled.
